Season 3 Unveils Final Character Posters

Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War is one of the funniest romantic comedies in the world of anime, focusing on two members of a Student Council attempting to get the other to admit their love through mind games and nefarious tactics. 


With the third season of the series set to arrive later this year, the final posters for the beloved anime franchise have been revealed, giving us new looks at returning characters that will fill out this newest chapter of the series. 


The third season of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War will be bringing back old cast members to return to their roles, along with new voice actors, including Aoi Koga as Kaguya Shinomiya, Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, Ryota Suzuki as Yu Ishigami, Yuki Takada as Rei Onodera, Miyu Tomita as Miko Iino, Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Hayasaka, Momo Asakura as Nagisa Kashiwagi, Rina Hidaka as Kobachi Osaragi, Taku Yashiro as Kashiwagi's boyfriend, and Yutaka Aoyama as the Narrator.


The third season of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War has given fans the following official description, with the first two seasons currently available to stream on Funimation if you want the opportunity to catch up on Shuchiin Academy: 


"Shuchiin Academy—an elite school where the most gifted students flock to. It is also where its Student Council brought together Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and President Miyuki Shirogane. While everyone expected a speedy courtship and agreed that the two geniuses would make the perfect couple, the pair, it seems, has too much pride to confess their true feelings for one another!

Kaguya-sama season 3 release set for April


The release of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 3 has now been confirmed for April 2022, with new character poster images being recently shared online. Whether you want to watch fight sequences with terrifying demons or the adventures of a magical creature in a distant land, the wonderful world of anime has something for everyone.


However, some of the very best anime series are often grounded in reality, with slice-of-life and romantic comedy shows being immensely popular with fans around the globe.


Arguably one of the better series in this sub-genre is Kaguya-sama: Love is War, which premiered on our screens all the way back in January 2019.


This week, A-1 Pictures shared some new character posters for the upcoming instalment of Kaguya-sama, which is set to release season 3 this April.


The Kaguya-Sama anime adaptation was announced in June 2018 and premiered in January 2019, with the second television season dropping in April 2020.


In October that year, during a special production event called “Kaguya-sama Wants To Tell You On Stage”, it was confirmed that a special OVA episode and a third full anime season were in the works.


The now-infamous OVA was packaged with the 22nd volume of the manga series and released in May 2021.


Several months later, the official Japanese website for the hit franchise confirmed that the anime would return for season 3 which would be titled “Kaguya-sama: Love is War – Ultra Romantic.”


Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War season 3 release and streaming


Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 3, Ultra Romantic, will premiere around the world in April 2022, as confirmed by the series’ Japanese website.


A specific launch date has not yet been shared by either the production team or associated distribution partners. However, fans can expect season 3 episode 1 to premiere on either Saturday, April 9th or 16th – the same day that new episodes aired in Japan for both previous seasons.


The anime is also expected to be simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation, both of whom provided access to the series’ broadcast. Kaguya-sama season 3 could also arrive on Hulu, who also streamed the first season in 2019.


Interestingly, we are expecting more information on Kaguya-sama season 3’s release details to be shared on March 18th at a special pre-screening event in Japan.


Alongside the posters, it was confirmed via Anime News Network, that the voice cast from previous instalments will be making their return in Kaguya-sama season 3, including:

Kaguya-sama Season 3 Reveals Miyuki Shirogane Character Visual


Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 3 has released a character visual for the Student Council president Miyuki Shirogane. Previously, character visuals for Ai Haysaka, Iino Miko, Yu Ishigami and Chika Fujiwara were released. Studio A-1 Pictures is returning to animate the third sequel, and the full title is Kaguya-sama: Love is War – Ultra Romantic –. You can see the new Miyuki character visual below:


Aka Akasaka writes and draws the original manga, and A-1 Pictures was in charge of the first 2 anime seasons as well. Season 2 was voted as the 2020 Anime of the Year by our fans, with votes from 47,323 people. Besides several OVA episodes, the franchise also has 2 live-action films. Funimation streams both seasons, while VIZ publishes the manga in English. They describe the story:


As leaders of their prestigious academy’s student council, Kaguya and Miyuki are the elite of the elite! But it’s lonely at the top… Luckily for them, they’ve fallen in love! There’s just one problem—they both have too much pride to admit it. And so begins the daily scheming to get the object of their affection to confess their romantic feelings first…


There’s still about a month and a half until Kaguya-sama Season 3 premieres in April, and we can expect a character visual for Kaguya to follow Miyuki Shirogane.


Kaguya-Sama Love is War Season 3 updates: Will Miyuki & Kaguya confess their love?


Fans are eagerly waiting for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 since the creators confirmed the return of Kaguya-sama in October 2020. We all know since last two years it has been tough for the entertainment industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No wonder the development of Kaguya-Sama Love is War Season 3 has been a slow process. No concrete premiere date has been revealed, but Kaguya-sama Love is War Season 3 is set to be released in April of 2022.


The recently released trailer, along with the promotional poster, shows several characters, including YuuIshigama, Miyuki Shirogane, Maki Shijo, Chika Fujiwara and the eponymous KaguyaShinomiya.


We learned earlier that Season 3 would cover the arc where Shirogane gets a chance to study abroad. Kaguya-sama Season 3 will contain the storyline of Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, who are the head honchos of the student council at a prestigious school for children of the elite, with Kaguya being the cream of the crop.


Anime lovers can also see the continuation of the story circling around Miyuki and Kaguya in Kaguya-sama Season 3. They are in love with each other but are too proud to say it. They also believe that the person who confesses first becomes the inferior one in a relationship. As a result, they both vowed to set up convoluted mind games and daily traps to force the other to confess.


Kaguya-Sama Love is Wara Japanese romantic comedy manga series by Aka Akasaka. It began serialization in Shueisha'sseinen manga magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016. In North America, the manga is licensed in English by Viz Media.


The composition of Kaguya-sama Season 3 is done by the writer Yasuhiro Nakanishi. Jin Aketagawa and Kei Haneoka are working as sound director and music composer respectively. The project is directed by Shinichi Omata under the pseudonym Mamoru Hatakeyama.
