Lady Gaga avoids seeing Caitlyn Jenner at Oscars
Lady Gaga is sending internet into frenzy as a video from Oscars party has surfaced in which the House of Gucci star can be seen subtly avoiding Caitlyn Jenner. The viral video was filmed outside Elton John’s 94th Academy Awards viewing party on Sunday when the Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum tried to talk to Gaga.
"Are you spending time around town anymore," she asked. However, the singer just gave a nod to respond to the relative TV star
"I haven't seen you at the Starbucks in a while," Jenner added.
“I've switched baristas," Gaga gave a rather cold reply before leaving Jenner looking awkward.
Coming across the video, netizens took over social media to react to the apparent ‘roast’ of Jenner.
"Lady Gaga switched Starbucks to avoid Caitlyn Jenner. Celebrities are just like us,” one user wrote, reported The Sun.
“I’ve switched baristas' SCREAM at lady gaga being like 'get this awful woman away from me - that’s my girl.'” another one expressed on Twitter.
You know when you're watching a show and someone does something just horribly embarrassing? Say, Rachel Green doing a cheer routine in her high school uniform to impress Tate Donovan.
You know how it's sometimes so bad you have to literally pause it or skip over the scene so you don't die of second-hand embarrassment? Well, that's how I felt about a painful video of an interaction between Caitlyn Jenner and Lady Gaga that's currently making the rounds. Except it wasn't fiction, it was Elton John's Oscars viewing party. And I couldn't skip over it, because I have to write about it for my job or whatever.
Reporter Bahman Kalbasi captured the clip of the two celebs chatting at Elton John's Academy Awards viewing party and shared it on Twitter. It's kind of hard to make out what the two women are saying, but some kind (or cruel, depending on how you look at it) souls captioned it.
Jenner: How are you?
Gaga: I'm good, thank you.
Jenner: Are you still spending time in Malibu?
Gaga: Yes!
Jenner: Oh, you're still out there?
Gaga: Yes! [begins to turn away]
Jenner: I haven't seen you at the Starbucks in a while!
Gaga: [fully turning to leave] oh, I... I... I've switched baristas.
Jenner: God, I know. But good seeing you!
Gaga: [leaving] you too.
Oh OW, it hurtsssss. I mean, not to state the obvious, but "I've switched baristas" is both hilarious and iconic, and also completely nonsensical. Surely for it to be remotely credible, you'd have to say, "I switched coffee shops?" So I guess we're left with the theory: Gaga didn't need it to be credible; she just wanted to send Jenner the message that she just doesn't want to be friends. Which is fair enough, I mean, she's Lady Gaga. She probably has the entire world at her feet trying to be friends with her. But still, I feel a little bad for Jenner, just as like a socially awkward person myself. Anywayyyy......
Interestingly, though, it wasn't always like this between the singer and the TV personality. They looked thick as thieves at the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, even exchanging secrets, and posing with Gaga's then-partner Taylor Kinney. I guess we'll never know what changed.
Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - is a publicly-known Democrat and has made her views on pro-LGBTQ+ rights known through her music and interviews.
Meanwhile, the transgender star is an outspoken Republican and 'traditionalist', and previously angered members of her community by admitting to once being against same-sex marriage but is now 'OK with it.'
During the video, Caitlyn, 72, could be seen asking why she doesn't bump into Gaga, 36, at their local Starbucks anymore, to which the singer curtly replied that she had 'switched baristas'.
The video began with the Olympian - who arrived in a red skirt and a tight black top - seen approaching Gaga before the start of the red carpet.
After inquiring about how Gaga was doing, Caitlyn asked, 'Are you spending time around Malibu anymore?'
After Gaga simply said, 'Yes,' the Keeping Up With The Kardashians veteran said, 'I haven't seen you at the Starbucks in a while.'
After decades as one of Hollywood’s brightest-shining stars — winning an Oscar, two Grammys, four Tonys, and an Emmy — Liza Minnelli has retreated from the spotlight in recent years.
Liza has dealt with serious health issues in the past, and in 2000, she was warned by doctors that she may never walk or talk again after she survived a rare case of viral encephalitis, a life-threatening brain infection.
Liza defied the odds to make a recovery and even continued working as she released her most recent album, Confessions, in 2010.
Lady Gaga spends her fortune on lavish homes in London, LA and more, prized items from the late Michael Jackson and Alexander McQueen and a US$1.8 million car collection

Lady Gaga’s career is going from strength to strength, and so is her bank account! The House of Gucci star and genre-defying musician turned 36 this week, but she boasts an enormous personal fortune that belies her young age.
Reports vary as to how much Gaga – whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – is actually worth. Forbes places her value at US$150 million while other sources estimate it’s really closer to US$320 million. Either way, it’s clear that Mother Monster is worth a mint.
Let’s take a closer look at how this self-made starlet amassed such a vast fortune, and what she likes to spend all those stacks on.
